The typical search customer is a middle-sized company or an independent affiliated company. The procurement volume should be large enough to achieve sufficient economy of potential.
 
On the other hand the search customers have little or no access at all to inter-connected and globally-oriented sourcing channels.
 
This can be due to the absence of human resources, to existing language or cultural barriers as well as limitations of know-how or lack of time.
